You may receive a confirmation message to tell you that a secure connection is being made. The new window should have an indication in the status bar that the connection is secure:
Check that the symbol for a secure connection is present before entering data into the form. If the symbol is missing, close the new window and then tell the webmaster about the problem.
The Parish of Christ Church does not receive your credit/debit card details. These are used purely for processing your donation — we simply receive the money! Credit cards are processed by WorldPay on behalf of CAF.
You will need to enter your name and address. These details are kept securely and are only used by
- CAF/WorldPay to verify your credit card details;
- the Inland Revenue for the purposes of validating the eligibility of your donation for the Gift Aid tax addition;
- (your name only) the Parish of Christ Church in order that we can identify donations if we are required to by the Inland Revenue, and
- (the details you allow) so that the parish can keep in contact with you, if you wish.
Your credit card statement will show a payment to “Charities Aid Foundation” in West Malling, Kent, UK. It may take some time for the payment to appear on your statement. We generally receive your payment direct into our bank account during the month after your statement entry, and any Gift Aid addition from the Inland Revenue six to eight weeks after that.
