Nick began his musical career at the age of seven, as a chorister at Coventry Cathedral. He went on to study the organ with Lady Susi Jeans and Nicolas Kynaston while reading music at Bristol and Cambridge Universities, and was awarded a Fellowship of The Royal College of Organists. Since then he has worked as a professional conductor, accompanist and continuo player.

Nick’s recording credits as an organist include David Fanshawe’s African Sanctus produced by the composer himself in 1994. Having conducted many choirs, from small chamber groups to large choral societies, he is now Music Director of the Lewes Singers and also the Lewes Chamber Choir.

Alongside his career as a professional musician, Nick has maintained an active interest in teaching and has been Director of Music at Leighton Park, Roedean and Hurstpierpoint College. He currently lectures at the East Sussex Academy of Music.
