Imagine a church with comfortable chairs to sit on, modern and accessible toilets with baby changing facilities, versatile seating that allows wheel-chair users to choose where to sit and flexibility in liturgical space and movement for a growing diversity of needs.
We need to provide a reason for the wider community to enter our church where they can experience a warm welcoming community and sacred space for quiet prayer, reflection and an encounter with the divine.
The vision for Christ Church is one that is not a temporary sticking-plaster. The proposals set out on the next page are a part of the long-term mission strategy of the Parish of Christ Church. It is a genuine attempt to establish a vibrant worshipping community that is reaching out and taking an active part in the wider community of Seaside, Eastbourne.
The work is planned in four phases over time to achieve our vision for Christ Church.
