Family Lunch
On the first Sunday of each month following the Family Mass we host a lunch in the Parish Hall for members of the family of Christ Church. “People who eat together stay together.” It’s free, as the food is paid for as part of others’ voluntary Christian service. Meat and vegetarian options are available, and a variety of desserts.Following lunch we have in the past hosted film shows or games for children (and adults!) and more are planned.
We hope to have photographs available in due course.
Lunch is available by invitation. Invitations are available free from the churchwardens to members of the Electoral Rolls of Christ Church and S Philip’s, and to members of the congregations. A limited number of invitations is available from other sources.
Introducing invitations helps the churchwardens and the Parochial Church Council
- to apply the PCC’s policies for the Protection of Children and Vulnerable Persons;
- to satisfy their responsibilities under the Fire Safety Regulations by controlling the numbers attending;
- to ensure that food is available for all present.
Alcohol is not served at the lunch, nor is it permitted to be brought. The churchwardens reserve the right not to issue an invitation or to withdraw anyone’s invitation.
